AHH Helps Equip an Orphanage Affected by Earthquake in Sichuan

(Updated 3/4/2009)

On May 12th 2008, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 struck China. The aftermath of the earthquake was devastating leaving many towns in Sichuan province in ruins and a death toll over 50,000 men, women and children. Many people were displaced and desperate for help. A Helping Hand, along with the help of our families contributed funds for the rebuilding of Zi Tong Children’s Welfare Institute in Mian Yang city. This week we received a report from China with pictures of children playing and using the equipment that was bought and installed with our help.

A Helping Hand, would like to extend a big “Thank You” to all of our supporters who helped us make this happen. We praise the Lord for your loving hearts and extend our invitation to partner with us on a regular basis in bringing joy and happiness in the lives of Chinese children who are confined in orphanages. Please know that your donations really do make a difference!
