Ward and Kelly

Placement!

Hello,

First of all, Kelly and I are thankful to you for demonstrating such courage to place your child with an adoptive family. We know that this decision does not come easily. Thank you for taking the time to check out our profile. Please know that we are sensitive to your desire to have the best life possible for this child. And, after a lot of reflection, both of us have become drawn to open adoption, where the birth parents and others in his/her family are able to stay connected to this child. Kelly and I have such excitement about being caring and strong parents, and we welcome your participation in that journey.

Here are a few highlights about our family. We have one biological child who was born in late 2007. We also recently learned that Kelly’s chances to bear children have become very slim. We own a safe and comfortable home in a neighborhood with a lot of young kids. Recently we purchased a new minivan. We also have a furnished nursery that is ready for a new baby.

My name is Ward. I am an engineer at Lexmark, a technology company in Lexington, and have worked there for thirteen years. I am in a leadership role at our church. In my free time I enjoy camping with friends, tinkering with computers, and reading. Kelly is a reading teacher at an elementary school in Georgetown. She has been employed as a teacher for sixteen years. In her free time she loves to garden, exercise, work on her Thirty-One home business, and take our daughter to educational places such as the zoo. She teaches kindergarten Sunday School at our church. As a family we love to get outside as much as possible and enjoy summer trips to the beach, the mountains, and to see my family in South Carolina. Kelly’s parents are ten minutes away, so we see them regularly. We enjoy visiting them at their home for rest, conversation, and delicious home-cooked meals.

We are in prayer for you, asking God to find the perfect matching adoptive family for your child. We also are praying that the right birth parents find our family. Grace and peace to you!
