OUR MESSAGE TO YOU

There’s a whole lot of love to go around in this world, and adoption is a great example of that. In fact, our family and circle of friends are great examples of the love that adoption brings. In short, we have adopted cousins, friends who have adopted children, friends who were adopted as children, and a birthmother in our extended family. Adoption is a natural and normal thing for our family, so if you are concerned your baby would feel different about being adopted, that would definitely not be the case with us! We would love the chance to tell you more about that, and if you choose to give us the highest possible honor of raising your child, we will give him or her all the love and opportunities to discover and grow into the person he/she was born to be.

We know making an adoption plan isn’t a decision you are taking lightly, but we’re so glad you’re considering it. For us, the decision to become adoptive parents was easy. When it was confirmed that we couldn’t have biological children, we didn’t even consider fertility treatments. We immediately knew that adoption was the right choice for us. We have one daughter, Sarah, whom we adopted at birth in 2012 and we would love nothing more than for her to have a little brother or sister. Playing with Sarah and seeing her experience the world for the first time brings us so much joy and we are thrilled at the prospect of getting to experience it a second time, and getting to see siblings grow up together.

Our entire family has embraced Sarah no differently than if she had been born to us, and everyone is hopeful and excited to add another little one to our family.

We live in a quiet, safe, suburban neighborhood with a nice, grassy backyard and a park nearby with a fantastic playground. We love hearing the neighborhood kids outside playing and dream of the day we can hear our own running around and laughing together.

Phillip works as an Engineer, and Susan is currently home full-time but also works part time as an on-line college instructor. We are active members of a vibrant church community. There are social events and faith-building activities throughout the year, which we enjoy. This community has created for us a network of wonderful friends and an anchor for our lives.

We want you to know that whatever your final decision, we hope this turning point in your life ends up being a positive experience and you look back on this time feeling good about your choice. Of course, we would love it if we were part of that decision ;-).
